Compensation We Have to Offer:

  • Monthly Stipend of $2,500 (flexible commitment of 10-15 hrs per month)

Position Description

The Collaborating Physician works with one or more APNs or PAs who are performing physical medicine and rehab assessments on patients in the skilled nursing setting. The role requires confidence in clinical decision-making while adhering to our evidence-based clinical guidelines, as well as the ability to properly evaluate, assess, document and appropriately intervene as necessary. As a contracted provider, collaborative work will be required per month/year to fulfill any federal/state-specific requirements as a collaborator.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Physicians will collaborate with their assigned advanced practice clinicians to conduct patient chart audits per applicable regulations, delegate prescriptive authority, and be available telephonically as required by state-specific requirements, etc.
  • The number of hours required for this role will vary based on active state licenses and the number of advanced practice clinicians assigned; typical commitments are anticipated to be no more than two hours per month.

REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Active/unrestricted Medical Physician License in the state posted
  • Must be able to relate professionally and positively to physicians, providers and staff with excellent communication, interpersonal and management skills
  • PM&R specialty or similar scope of practice (Internal Med, Primary Care, Geriatrics, General Med, etc.)

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience in geriatrics, PM&R, or complex patients (preferred)
